Eventually we hear she has committed suicide. The audience does not see much of her in the second half of the play. Macbeth resumes control and becomes more evil, while Lady Macbeth loses her control and sanity (presumably because of guilt). She is initially in control and seems not to have any guilt. Lady Macbeth is calm and unfazed by the terrible crimes they commit.However, she underestimates the supernatural and its power. The detailed planning and the cover up are all driven by her, not Macbeth. She quickly persuades Macbeth to follow through with his idea to murder Duncan.
